Terms of Service

This page is maintained by Urbanomics Consulting Group and describes the terms on which BEACON is made available. It summarizes the general terms only; the definitive terms for any paid engagement are those set out in your signed order or master services agreement. 1. Acceptance

By accessing beacon-boardshq.com or the BEACON Board Intelligence Platform™ (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The Service

BEACON provides governance assessment, composition analysis, and research tools for boards of directors and their executive teams. Features, content, and availability may change as the platform evolves.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — no reverse engineering, no interference with other users, no attempts to access data you are not authorized to see, and no use in violation of applicable law.

5. Intellectual property

The BEACON Board Intelligence Platform™, BEACON Board Assessment™, BEACON Trust Framework™, Governance Intelligence™, and related methodologies, frameworks, reports, graphics, and copy are the intellectual property of Urbanomics Consulting Group. Reproduction, redistribution, or derivative use requires prior written permission, except for internal use by an authorized client of BEACON.

6. Your data

You retain ownership of the responses and content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that data as necessary to operate the Service and produce the reports commissioned by your board. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Research content

Publications in the Research Center™ — including monographs, executive briefs, and reflection guides — are provided for informational purposes. They do not constitute legal, financial, or fiduciary advice, and should not be relied on as a substitute for counsel appropriate to your organization.

8. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Urbanomics Consulting Group disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Where a signed agreement is in force, the liability terms of that agreement govern.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or for security reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time; account deletion requests can be sent to the contact address below.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
